Joel Hughes is responsible for setting the company’s direction and leading the execution of that strategy with the Rightworks leadership team. Since 2017, he has successfully overseen the rapid scaling of the business, including the acquisition of seven companies, transforming Rightworks into the only intelligent cloud purpose-built for accounting firms and professionals. He has an extensive track record of developing and growing businesses and has deep knowledge of corporate strategy and team building.

Before Rightworks, Joel was Senior Vice President of Emerging Business at Constant Contact, where he led strategy, and corporate development and had P&L responsibility for a portfolio of emerging growth businesses. As CEO at LiveWire Mobile (Nasdaq: LVWR), Joel led the transition of NMS Communications (Nasdaq: NMSS) from a hardware company to a mobile software and media business.

Michael oversees the day-to-day operations of Rightworks. He’s also charged with expanding the current intelligent cloud product and service offerings. Michael brings more than 20 years of experience building market-leading businesses across the data, analytics and software industries.

Most recently, at Dun & Bradstreet (D&B), Michael ran a $750M global business and substantially improved revenue growth, customer satisfaction, product innovation and profitability for his division. During his tenure, Michael drove the identification and successful integration of multiple strategic acquisitions. Prior to Dun & Bradstreet, Michael served as CEO at NetProspex, Inc. (which D&B acquired), Senior Vice President at BzzAgent, Inc. and Vice President at CNET Networks, Inc.

Will focuses on the company’s continuous growth and leadership position as the leading cloud service provider for accounting firms and professionals.

Will offers more than 30 years of experience in building high-performing sales and business development teams as well as scaling revenue directly and through partnerships.

Will has served in senior leadership roles at several technology companies including Constant Contact, Aepona (acquired by Intel Corporation) and LiveWire Mobile (acquired by OnMobile Live).

Adam oversees legal affairs and manages the company’s legal compliance and corporate governance. He joined Rightworks with more than 15 years of legal experience in corporate law and governance, M&A, SEC reporting, data privacy, intellectual property and commercial matters.

Adam most recently served as Deputy General Counsel and Assistant Secretary for Datto, a cybersecurity software company where he managed a team of nine and navigated the company through a successful IPO process in 2020. Prior to that, Adam served as Deputy General Counsel at EnerNOC, a publicly traded energy management technology company, and as a corporate attorney at Ropes & Gray LLP.

Dana is responsible for advancing the company’s people strategy to support leadership and growth. She also leads innovative human resource programs for the company’s employees across the country. Programs include talent development, staffing, compensation, benefits and employee relations.

As an experienced HR executive, Dana brings a deep understanding of the necessity for a vibrant organizational culture. She also possesses a well-honed talent for attracting qualified, top-tier employees.

She has served in various senior leadership roles throughout her career and is an active member of SHRM.

As the Vice President of Strategy and Corporate Development, Tom assesses new product and market opportunities, oversees mergers and acquisitions, and ensures operating plans align with the company’s overarching business strategy.

Before joining Rightworks, Tom spent nearly 10 years leading finance and business operations at multiple startups—in addition to several years in investment banking.

Jim is responsible for guiding the technology strategy for the management and expansion of Rightworks’ infrastructure—as well as leading and scaling the corporate information technology and security functions. He’s a technology industry veteran with extensive experience helping develop teams, workflow and technology operations for mid-stage and later-stage SaaS companies.

Before joining Rightworks, Jim was Vice President and CIO at Virtustream. Prior to Virtustream, he spent seven years at Constant Contact, helping develop and scale the company’s enterprise systems and technology as the company grew from $80M to $370M in revenue. Jim has also held senior technology management executive positions at Peoplefluent, Saba Software and Concentra.

Monica sets the Rightworks marketing strategy and oversees its successful execution. Leading the growth marketing, content strategy, creative, and events teams, she is responsible for broadening the company’s reach in the accounting profession and extending its leadership position to help drive growth. She brings more than 20 years of experience with B2B, e-commerce and SaaS companies, building and leading global teams in high-growth and dynamic organizations.

Most recently, Monica served as Chief Marketing Officer for Linnworks, an e-commerce inventory and order management software provider, where she built a global team of marketing professionals, refreshed the brand and unified product positioning. She previously served as CMO at DemandScience, an AI-powered B2B demand generation company.

Gary is responsible for leading the Rightworks Customer Care team. Through the Customer Success and Technical Support teams, Gary’s focus is on creating outstanding customer experiences. Gary brings a blend of strategic vision and operational focus that helps ensure that accounting firms and professionals achieve the full benefits of digital transformation and cloud adoption.

Prior to joining the Rightworks team, Gary spent 14 years as SVP of Customer Support at Endurance International Group, growing the SaaS company from a start-up to a public company. Gary has also held senior leadership positions at GlowTouch and eSupportNow, always with a focus on customer care operations.

Before joining Rightworks, Jon served as the Vice President for Tax Software Technology at Thomson Reuters. Jon has deep expertise and a passion for designing and operating large-scale software systems and creating and optimizing high-performing teams.

As Chief Technology Officer, he governs the development of the entire cloud and software product business line and the emerging technologies teams.

Meg leads the Rightworks Enterprise Program Management team.

Her team operates at a strategic level, working with executives and teams to ensure business projects and activities align with the company’s overall strategies and goals—transforming the way we implement, conduct and measure programs. She offers more than 20 years of experience with subscription-based businesses at all stages of growth.

Before Rightworks, Meg led key strategic initiatives focused on increasing MRR, retention and NPS at Endurance International—a $1.3B B2B SaaS company with 5.5M subscribers. Meg has also held strategy, planning and operational roles at Constant Contact, which grew from $100M to $400M; and Workscape, which grew from a startup to $100M.

Piyum oversees the product marketing, product management, program management, and innovation teams at Rightworks. He and his team own product vision/mission/strategy and help to identify new market gaps and opportunities. He is also responsible for streamlining our product development lifecycle, including how we bring new products and iterating on products already in the market.

Piyum recently served as Chief Product Officer for Greenlight Guru, a company specializing in cloud-based quality management software, where he played a pivotal role in shaping the company’s product vision and strategy and contributed significantly to broadening its market reach. Previously, Piyum held Product leadership positions in various vertical SaaS solutions, including Buildium and FieldRoutes. He started his career in Product Management at Thomson Reuters (Financial) and worked at Intuit in their Payments Team.

Allison is responsible for setting and articulating the company’s narrative across multiple communication vehicles, including executive communications, public relations, internal communications, thought leadership and more. As the company’s brand ambassador, she advocates for the brand’s promise wherever the company’s story is told. Allison recently led the company’s successful rebranding initiative, helping to enhance employee and customer interactions with our new Rightworks brand.

She has more than 20 years of experience as a communications leader, including previously held positions at Schneider Electric and Autodesk, where she helped drive executive communications, corporate messaging, thought leadership campaigns, and more.
